Why TTEM fellowship?
We pride ourselves in being one of the best EM fellowship programs in the country.
VERSUS
How are we different?
Didactics
Our program offers the largest number of protected didactic hours amongst all programs (scheduled didactics with core faculties, US training, and Lubbock EM residency didactics).
CME
Our fellows attend ACEP and AAEM conferences every year with their faculties. Their travel/attendance costs are also covered by their CME funding.
Special Training
Our program is the only fellowship program in the country that offers training in ballistics trauma, wilderness medicine, aviation medicine, pre-hospital medicine, and practice management/business of EM.
Procedure Training
Our fellows get extensive procedural training during their fellowship. Our fellow procedural numbers consistently have been equivalent to ACGME EM residency requirements. Our fellows also get to use the TTUHSC SIM lab on the 7th floor of MCH.
Board Prep
Our program is the only program to offer free board prep from ABEM Prep (https://www.abemprep.com/) with its founder (Dr. Bose) as our core faculty.
More Than Great Training
Our program is much more than excellent EM training. You will have a TON of fun during your fellowship year with various social/networking activities and opportunities with your co-fellows, faculties, and graduates. Our program is also located in Odessa/Midland, two of the fastest growing cities in the US (Midland #4 & Odessa #12) with its combined population of 348,826 (Odessa 166,223/Midland 182,603). Got more people?? Compare it yourself !!
